This is the final version
Glass fusing study at Szimultán Művészeti Iskola (Simultan Art School)
The task was to create a bowl, find the function and than play with the forms, patterns, effects.
I chose to make a thali (indian bowl with separate compartment for the different kind of dishes (rice, dal, sabji, papad, chutney/pickle etc.) and combine it with the shape of the lotus flower.
Made of 6mm float glass, with iridescent coat, formed with ceraboard sheets.

I realised that I should use a softer color by painting and return to the more petal-like shapes instead of the rounder forms.
I used OPTUL color (It is crushed glass powder mixed with a tincture to make it available to apply). This is an indian paisley pattern, handpainted by me, without using masking tape.
